We are a Premium multifunctional Social Dance Club.  Serving Calgary since 1986,  DC Dance Club offers private and group lessons in Latin, Ballroom, Swing & Country for all ages from Beginner to advanced, social or competitive.

Miro: Champion Dancer, Choreographer, Coach, Founder and Owner

 

Miro began his career in 1976 by taking Ballroom dance lessons at a local studio.  After a short amateur career, Miro opened up his own school of dance in 1986.  Over the years Miro has produced some of the best Latin & Ballroom amateur dancers in the country, many of whom won numerous top scholarships and First place overall, most notable at one of the top competitions in the United States “Ballroom Championships”.  Over the years Miro has won numerous top teacher awards in Calgary, Vancouver, Regina, Montreal, San Francisco, San Diego, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Houston, Miami to name a few.  He received his certification with the NADTA.   His qualifications, admired in Calgary, are also recongnized in Eastern Canada and in the United States. 

 

Carol:  Professional Dancer, Professional Champion, Performer, Coach, Choreographer, Co-Owner

 

Carol first started dancing when she wanted a change in career.  A friend asked her if she could do anything she wanted, what would it be?  For her the answer was simple.  “Dance”.  Now she has Twenty Years teaching experience with DC Dance Club, teaching Latin, Ballroom, Swing, Country & Western.  She has won and represented Canada in Championship Finals around the world.  Carol now trains students to compete in Latin & Ballroom. Her students have enjoyed placing in many top scholarship and first place overall in top competitions all over the United States and Canada.  Her students have enjoyed placing at the top of their divisions, with such honors as the top scholarship and first place all round.  Top place and scholarships' in solo routines in the top competitions in the USA.  Besides preparing students for competitions Carol also enjoys teaching at the social level and loves helping students to just have fun. She has been teaching children of all ages groups at their studio and in schools.   In the past she worked several years with kids and adults from the Special Olympics with dance programs and coordinated the Special Olympic games entertainment.

 

The joy of Dancing can now be yours too.  All it takes is a body that’s willing to move, and a soul that’s ready to groove.
